Admission Criteria and Selection

We admit candidates to upcoming sessions on a rolling (first come first served), space-available basis, and encourage you to apply as early as possible to secure your seat in the programme.

Programme content, dates, schedule, fees, delivery platforms, and faculty are subject to change. Programme fee includes food and accommodation at the ISB campus or at an equivalent facility based on availability.

Programme Curriculum

The programme includes modules in the form of building blocks of operational excellence spread across two days and emphasises on organisational considerations in operational excellence implementation that provide an activity-based classroom learning.

 

DAY-1:
  • Module 1: Building Blocks of Operational Excellence - The session delves into the fundamentals of Operational Excellence (OPEX), its significance, and its impact on firm’s competitiveness. It examines the core principles of OPEX and its fundamental pillars and explores key strategies to craft an effective OPEX roadmap that helps reduce operational risk and costs, enhance quality and efficiency and boost up the revenues. 
  • Module 2: Strategy Deployment- This module helps to develop hand-on learning in strategy execution, crafting strategy maps to align people, processes and technologies towards operationalisation/execution, and provides directions to tackle organisational problems concerning top-line and bottom-line. It throws light on how operations can refine strategies and thereby create a competitive advantage.
  • Module 3: Performance Management- This module focuses on defining, prioritising, and aligning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with strategic goals for operational benefits. Participants will learn to craft impactful KPIs that drive performance and ensure operational actions support broader organisational objectives. It throws light on how to gauge which are the right KPIs, how to measure them, and which KPIs deserve improvement. 
  • Module 4:  Process Excellence 1 (Process Improvement)- The session explores the application of process thinking and process analysis, emphasising its role in identifying inefficiencies and driving continuous improvement. It also examines the use of Lean improvement practices to streamline operations, eliminate waste, and enhance overall efficiency.

DAY-2:
  • Module 1: Process Excellence 2 (Design Thinking)- In this module, participants explore how to craft innovative designs that are customer-centric (focussing on empathy and human-behaviours) for products, services, and processes for operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Discover how Design Thinking can be leveraged to trigger entrepreneurial thinking in managers for OPEX, fostering creativity and problem-solving for continuous process improvements. 
  • Module 2: : Process Excellence 3 (Process Behaviour)- The session focuses on understanding and mastering critical process behaviour and control aspects. Gain insights into monitoring and managing processes to ensure consistency and reliability by discriminating noise from true signals. Explore the concept of process capability, learning how to assess and improve the performance of your organisation's critical operations.
  • Module 3: Technology Excellence- In this module, unfold the digital technology jargon and explore the “what” and “how” of digitalisation. Learn key principles on how to craft an effective tech strategy execution plan that drives operational effectiveness within your firm. 
  •  Module 4:  People Excellence and OPEX Culture- The session explores high-performance teams' dynamics, principles, and practices that foster exceptional collaboration and productivity. Additionally, it delves into the intricacies of change management, equipping you with the next practice skillset necessary to navigate and lead through organisational transitions effectively.
