What if the AI debate is focused on the wrong problem?

Most AI conversations get stuck on jobs and productivity, which tasks disappear, which roles shift. That's probably the wrong place to look. Intelligence never lived in individuals alone; it ran through teams, tools, institutions, the whole mess of shared knowledge and networks around them. What AI actually touches is that coordination layer, how organisations decide, share information, and act.

That's the shift Professor Siddharth S. Singh keeps pointing to: AI governance is really about governing how organisations think, not just how people work. For leaders, that means paying attention to coordination itself, and asking hard questions before AI quietly reshapes collective judgement on its own.
